Molalla Adult Community Center volunteer Bea Enyart serves rice to Cinco de Mayo attendee Vicki Smith. The center co-hosted the event with Molalla Public Library as a fundraiser last Saturday. Event planners had hoped to draw a larger crowd, but only 67 meals were served. For a $10 fee, diners were received enchiladas, salad, tamales, rice, beans and dessert. After expenses, the library and Adult Center each earned about $180 from the event, Molalla Adult Community Center director Lola Burge said.
