I just received word from the Mulino Lion’s Club that, after over 50 years of serving the community, they will be dissolving. At their November business meeting they voted on what to spend their remaining money on and the newspaper drop box on Union Mills Rd.

Alan Willey is the Principal at Mulino School. On the day of the school shooting in Connecticut, he was heavy on my mind. Here is a man that I see constantly standing in the road when the kids get out of school, holding the “STOP” sign to ensure personally that the students are able to cross the road safely.

On Friday, Jan. 11, during a home basketball game Colton High School senior, Maddie Olson showed off her finished senior project. Olson had talked with her grandmother, Marcy Hall, during the summer about her idea — a cheerleading camp for elementary school kids.
