Corky Apilado (lower left) and fellow Veterans of Underage Military Service from the Portland area meet for breakfast on the first Friday of each month. An estimated 100 VUMs live in Oregon, Apilado said. They invite others who served in the U.S. military as VUMs to join them. Contact Corky at 503-824-2322.
