Four transported to hospital after Monday collision

Two cars collided on Highway 211 by Macksburg Road around 1 p.m. Monday, sending four people to the hospital, including two by Life Flight Network helicopters.

Molalla Fire District Chief Vince Stafford said the crash involved two compact cars, each containing a driver and one passenger.

Two people were transported by MFD and American Medical Response ambulances to Willamette Falls Hospital and two others were transported by MFD and Canby Fire District ambulances to Oregon City, where Life Flight met them and took the patients by helicopter to Portland hospitals. One patient was experiencing abdominal pain and the other was very dizzy and has possibly suffered a head injury, Stafford said.

“Life flight couldn’t get past Oregon City because of the cloud cover,” Stafford said.

Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.Colton Fire District also assisted at the scene, along with county and state police. The names of those injured are not currently available.

My 2 roomates were involved in this wreck today. The 1 with the head injury should be comming home today and the other one is here now.Thank God it wasn't worse! I thought about going with them to the local clothing drive they were headed to at the time of the wreck, good thing I didn't or my daughter and I would have been involved as well. The guy pulled off of Macksburg road onto 211 right in front of Cathy and there was nothing she could do to avoid the collision.
