Donald Kenneth Cox

Donald Kenneth Cox, 76, of Mulino, passed away in his sleep in the early morning hours of March 3, 2010 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease and congestive heart failure.

The life-long Oregonian was born July 31, 1933 to Bill and Ruth Cox in Lakeview where he spent his youth and young adulthood.

He married Virginia Ayoutt in Clarkston, Wash. on June 11, 1955. In July of 1969 they moved to Molalla where Cox worked for Avison Lumber. In 1980 he opened his own business, Don Cox Propane. He also served on the Molalla City Council.

Cox was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his vacation home in Prineville. After his retirement he took up the hobby of rock-hounding.

He is survived by his former wife; children Dawn Burns of Vancouver, Wash., Tracy Gibboney of Wilsonville and Robert Cox and wife Tracy of Mulino; grandchildren Danielle Cox of Beaverton, Diana Cox of Molalla and Brian and Errin Burns, both of Vancouver, Wash.; brother Bill Cox and wife Colleen of Medford; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held March 13 at 2 p.m. at the Molalla Funeral Chapel, 220 E. Main St. A reception will follow at the Molalla Grange, 127 Grange Ave.

Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery.

Carol Ann Daniels

Carol Ann Daniels, 65, of Oregon City died of ALS at her home on Feb. 27, 2010.

She was born July 31, 1944 in Portland to Willard O. and Thelma Ruth Babb. On June 16, 1972 she married Kermit J. Daniels.

Survivors include her husband, Kermit; daughter, Kailyn M. Daniels; sons, Steven J. Daniels and Robert E. Oun; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyel Daniels.

Services were held March 6 at Mulino Grace Community Church, with Pastor Kent Piil officiating. Burial was at Lincoln Memorial Park. Canby Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.

Jeanette Marianne Lundin Adamscheck

Jeanette Marianne Lundin Adamscheck, 89, died of natural causes at her daughter’s home in Mt. Angel on Feb. 24, 2010.

She was born Aug. 26, 1920 in Cloquet, Minn. to Charles H. and Lillian Lindholm Lundin. On Aug. 3, 1940 she married Wilbur John “Skinney” Adamscheck.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Carl Adamscheck of Canby; daughters, Janet Elaine Bullerwell of Canby and Joanne Vivian Arevalo of Mt. Angel; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 1 at Canby Funeral Chapel, with Chaplain Judith Steele officiating. Burial was at Willamette National Cemetery. Canby Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice in Salem.
