Fruit grower Caleb Kirk checks apples for ripeness in the Marquam Meadows Fruit Company orchard. The trees were planted by his parents, Martin and Esther Kirk, the same year he was born. Caleb’s father, Martin Kirk, was killed tragically in an auto accident this summer, and Caleb has taken over duties as lead farmer. The farm is a stop on the Molalla Country Farm Loop.
The fall harvest is in full swing for local growers on the Molalla Country Farm Loop, featuring fall favorites like apples and pumpkins along with wines, plants and a variety of other offerings.
