The 1989 Mazda van in which Molalla High School sophomore Gabe Collins was a passenger is damaged after it crashed on Highway 224 about 13 miles southeast of Estacada. The 16-year-old driver, of Colton, was cited for transporting underage passengers within six months of obtaining his driver's license.
A local athlete was hospitalized with major injuries after being involved in a single-vehicle accident March 29, according to his coach and law enforcement officials.
