The Molalla River School District is looking for input from everyone within its district boundary as they continue to put together a strategic plan for coming years.
To do that, the district has created a strategic plan survey at https://forms.hcg.com/f/41657600/18c7/. Participants do not have to have children in the school district to participate.
The Molalla River School District Board invites participation to help shape the future for its local schools as part of the strategic planning process. The purpose of a strategic plan is to define the district’s collective priorities for the school district.
“Our school board and I are really excited about this opportunity to hear from our entire community - anyone who lives in the district, those with kids, those without kids, those with businesses, those who commute, grandparents - anyone in the Molalla River School District boundaries,” said MRSD Superintendent Tony Mann said. “The steering committee is leading the charge on hearing from the community.”
Experience surveys were completed by 1,771 students, parents/caregivers, and staff. Focus group sessions with 79 participants were held in February and March 2023.
A steering committee, comprised of community members, parents, students, and district staff, then contributed to the development of five draft priority areas included in this survey: students, facilities, communication, staff, and partners.
Each priority area will be further developed to include outcomes and measures of success. The strategic planning process will run through May 2023.
